Farewell and Thank You, Davide!

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Mr. Davide Crescenzi, who joined our laboratory in March 2025 from Sapienza University of Rome and has now completed his 5-month research internship.
During his stay, Davide worked on a challenging project related to source apportionment of PM2.5 in Italy and made great efforts to master stable isotope analysis using denitrifying bacteria—a completely new technique for him. His sincere attitude and commitment throughout the project were truly admirable.
Beyond research, Davide enjoyed his time in Japan, traveling to various places with lab members and fully embracing Japanese culture and life.
He now plans to prepare a scientific paper based on his work and is considering pursuing a Ph.D. in the future. We would be delighted to welcome him back to Japan and continue our collaboration!
Thank you so much, Davide—wishing you all the best, and hope to see you again soon!
