Summer Internship!

Last week, we successfully completed our five-day summer internship program for high school students in our laboratory.
The four participating students seemed a little nervous at first, but as the days went by, they became more relaxed and engaged, showing genuine interest in the experiments and equipment. We could clearly see their growth. In this program, we offered them a hands-on experience of the kind of research we conduct on a daily basis, while encouraging them to learn about what research is and how it is carried out.
During the internship, they also had the unique opportunity to talk with a legendary engineer in the field of isotope analysis and to meet representatives from various companies—experiences that are unique to an engineering faculty.
Although the program was short, we hope it provided new perspectives and inspiration for those interested in pursuing science or engineering in the future. On the final day, they gave presentations on their research results as well as what they had learned and felt during the internship.
We hope this experience will have a positive impact on their future paths, and we look forward to the possibility of meeting again someday in the world of research. Thank you very much for joining us!
