Group Leader Sachi Tanibo from the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, one of our collaborators, and Dr. Mattias Soerengaard visited our university for field observations and discussions. The observation involved collecting particulate matter and analyzing the PFAS contained within it.

Taking advantage of this valuable opportunity, Dr. Mattias gave a research presentation on PFAS, and from our lab, master's students Mr. Kato and Mr. Sasaki gave presentations in English. It seems the event was very inspiring for the participants—everyone listened attentively and asked many questions. Since we haven't had many outside visitors due to COVID-19, it turned out to be a truly valuable experience.
