In March 2026, I visited the University of Dhaka (Bangladesh) and paid a courtesy call on Prof. A. B. M. Obaidul Islam, Vice-Chancellor of the university.

During the meeting, we exchanged views on ongoing collaborations between Shibaura Institute of Technology and the University of Dhaka, as well as future opportunities for academic cooperation. In particular, discussions focused on strengthening joint research in the fields of air pollution, environmental science, and climate change.

The University of Dhaka also expressed strong interest in expanding international collaborative research, and we expect further development of our partnership.

Our laboratory will continue to promote international research collaboration, especially with institutions in Bangladesh, to contribute to solving global environmental challenges.
